This week, we'll be looking more closely at the Yellowstone Supervolcano. Yellowstone National Park is world-famous for its natural beauty and unique hydrothermal features. An enormous body of magma lies close to the surface under the park, which heats up the ground water and creates awesome geysers, bubbling mud pots, and beautiful mineral deposits.

You can also check out my previous blog post for an interactive feature where you can build a virtual geyser to see how these hydrothermal features work. Have fun!
